OscarCON ’23 Announced – Sat/Sun June 17/18 in Sunny Vancouver, BC

CONFIRMED DATES & KEYNOTE SPEAKER for OSCARCON ’23!

OSCARCON ‘23: Optimizing Your OSCAR EMR Experience will be an invaluable opportunity for OSCAR EMR users, partners, service providers, developers and academics to come together to learn, collaborate and strategize how OSCAR EMR can continue to be optimized for a stronger health provider community at large. Indeed, this is our primary goal and OSCARCON ‘23 is a key event to achieve this!

This year’s Conference will be 1.5 days chocked full of great speakers, presentations and workshops on the following themes, “Utilizing Features for Improving Efficiency and Effectiveness” and “The Future of OSCAR.”

As well as indepth exploration and discussions what Future of OSCAR holds, our program of presentations and workshops are being designed to provide relevant and practical learning content to help all OSCAR Users, such as the new LFP Billing, eForms and RbT’s, Measurements, Automations, Streamlining Workflows, Data Forks and Conversions, and much more! In fact, by popular demand, we will again be offering doctors to “Bring Your MOA’s for FREE” in our registration package (Early Bird Registration will open in May).

We are also thrilled to confirm our Keynote Speaker, Dr. David Chan, and we look forward to hearing his thoughts about what the Future of OSCAR may hold, with a follow-up and indepth discussion, OSCAR 2.0 in NextCloud: Lessons From Another Successful Open Source Platform.

Dr. David Chan is the original developer of OSCAR, a Professor Emeritus and former Director of Information Technology with the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University before his retirement in 2016. He currently maintains a part time clinical practice with a focus in the Care of the Elderly, as well as giving lectures in a McMaster Summer eHealth program. Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Chan worked as a software engineer. Dr. Chan has been devoted to developing Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) solutions to enhance patient care for more than three decades.

Stay tuned for more details about “OSCARCON ’23: Optimizing Your OSCARCON EMR Experience” as they are confirmed, in our newsletter and our website – and be sure to follow us on social media where updates and announcements are also posted as they are confirmed.
