Liver fibrosis often progresses non-linearly, so it is important to be able to re-assess fibrosis trends in individual patients over time, and invasive re-assessments carry significant risk to patients. FIB-4 allows for non-invasive liver fibrosis assessment.
Visit mdcalc.ca

Measurements for Age. AST, AST are standard in Oscar.
This form requires mapping of 777-3 platelet to PLT for auto-population.
Alternatively, platelet value can be recorded manually.

There is also an RBT to calculate FIB-4 scores on all your active patients to see if there is fibrosis in NASH patients.

Interpretation:

Low FIB-4: <1.45 (suggests low likelihood of advanced fibrosis) High FIB-4: >3.25 (suggests high likelihood of advanced fibrosis)
Intermediate FIB-4: Values between 1.45 and 3.25 (inconclusive)
