This Grease Monkey script will add English to metric conversion (on double click) and
The script is designed to work in OSCAR 12, 15, 19, OSCAR Pro, Open O, Avaros, and Juno but is not tested in all of them
In OSCAR 19 and Open-O automatic BMI calculation is already present, this just adds the English to Metric conversions
The script is designed to work in any Measurement group that has one or more of Height and Weight.
(Obviously both need to be present to auto calculate BMI)

Installation Directions
1. add Grease Monkey extension to Firefox
2. Copy and paste this script into a new GM script window

End User Instructions
Minimal end user prompting is suggested by light blue background for the affected inputs with rollover prompts
it also confirms that the script has loaded!
1. For height conversion you need to enter in the format 6’2″ (or 6’2 if you are in a hurry) and double click
2. For weight conversion you need to enter the weight in lbs without any units and double click
3. BMI is automatically calculated once there are entries in both Height and Weight

On or about Sept 21 2023 the BC MFMs switched the reference for dating pregnancies using CRL from the Lessoway reference to the Robinson reference. This means that for those using the Pregnancy Calculator that converts a CRL into weeks and days – that part of the calculator was often off by 1 day ( often less by 1 day). I have updated the JS script that is stored in the image library that does this work, so that it now uses the Robinson method. If you wish to update this on your system, you will need to go into your image files and delete a file called EDDfromCRL.js and replace it with the new one.

Please note – you may already have the following files on your server:
LabEngine_2023.js
LocationsLab_Nov2020.js
SOPLR_BC_2018_Sans2.png

if that is the case, you will receive a warning that the file is already present – just skip that file and move on to the next. The html file should be uploaded (not imported) into the eform folder. The png and js files should be uploaded into the image folder, except for the PeersCVD.js file which is a greasemonkey file (user script) and should be added to your other greasemonkey files (click on new user script in greasemonkey and replace the generic start with the file contents).

Once you are happy with the new SOPLR I would recommend renaming your previous “1.1 Lab Requisition” as something like “1.1 Lab Requisition – old” and naming the new script as “1.1 Lab Requisition” so that it links properly with other eforms etc.

From David Page:

Here is my latest version of the BC Lab Requisition

The lab value insertion module has been completely rewritten to work with the new Lab Engine 2023

Specifically it allows multiple Loinc codes to be connected to one lab type and has fixed the yellow prompting to do lab tests based on disease profile.

It also includes new logic in the colon screening portion to support appropriate FIT reminders.

If you click on “Lipids”it will take you to the PEERS CVD online calculator and if you run greasemonkey scripts and load the greasemonkey PeersCVD it will autopopulate the calculator for you.

Unfortunately I was unable to export it as a zip file so have exported the files individually.

There are other dependant files but if you are already running the BC Lab Requisition they should already be in your system

NOTE: This version will only work if you are running the Lab Engine 2023 which I believe is set up in the back end.

OpenOSP has this set up, I am not sure if WELL or other versions have this.

I am not sure what Ontario does with their lab req, but if you need to upgrade and are using the Lab Engine 2023, the rewritten code is now scalable and may be adaptable to your needs-look at the beginning of Lab decision support.js

This eForm calculates the Mean scores for categories and excludes the NA replies in calculating the Mean. There is also a button at the bottom to identify if a question has been left unanswered (unanswered means no selection including not selecting NA). The unanswered questions will be reported in an alert and those lines will have yellow backgrounds. Once a question has been answered, using the button again reverts the background to the original colour.
